Question: i reeled in empty today?
today i have been using ground bait attached to a feeder with a size 16 hook with 1 maggot attached
i was sat there for a good 7 hours today and didnt catch a thing its not like theres not fish in there 2 days ago i caught a perch and yesterday a chub
any advice

p.s there are perch chub common carp bream tench rudd roach crucian carp mirror carp skimmers gudgeon and some where i fish
it seemed i was getting bites as my float was going under i tried to set the hook but nothing was on the end of it any tips on how to set the hook properlyAnswer: Thanks billy, by now most of us regular visters now you delema. You NEED to just try worms. Also try some small minnows. As to set the hook all you do it quickly jerk up the rod, and start reeling. It also might have been some minnows biteing at your bait.
